BELIEVERS UNION WITH CHRIST: STUDY THROUGH THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS PART 23 (Ephesians 6:18-24)

“Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.” (Ephesians 6:18)

A genuine believer who understands the nature of this spiritual warfare will cultivate a consistent prayer life. Such a person does not wait to be prompted or emotionally stirred before praying, but is always ready, at any time and in any place, to come before God in prayer.

So, what does it mean to pray “in the Spirit”? It means that our spirit remains continually aligned with God’s will, maintaining a posture of prayer. Praying in the Spirit can be understood as praying according to the will of God (Romans 8:26–27). One way believers may express this is through praying in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:14–15), as the Spirit enables.
