WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT DIVORCE? (Matthew 19:1-12)

Marriage works through sacrifice and compromise because daily life continually presents situations that demand them. From ordinary, seemingly small decisions to major, life-altering moments, couples are repeatedly called to yield, to consider the other, and to place the good of the union above personal preference. The apostle Paul captures this spirit when he exhorts believers to “do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves” (Philippians 2:3). This principle finds a unique and intimate expression within marriage.
