WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE

If you are a believer in Christ, the devil is after your faith. He does not need anything from us except our faith in God, though he will attack everything we have in order to undermine that faith (1 Timothy 2:19; Luke 22:31-32; 1 Peter 5:8-9). Therefore, if you are a Christian, you are in a fierce war—a life-and-death battle for your faith.

Whether you are facing a severe storm in life—financial troubles, marital strife, health crises, job losses, or enemies closing in—these challenges can be attempts by the devil to snatch your faith. His goal is to make you question God’s truth and ability to sustain you.

Therefore, as children of God, we are called to rely on Him to fight our battles, confident in the assurance of victory. We must not fight these battles with physical weapons. Instead, we must engage the enemy with spiritual weapons.

In our study today, we will search through God’s word to understand how all the battles we face today—regardless of how they manifest physically—are the devil’s attempts to shipwreck our faith. We shall also learn how to deploy spiritual weapons to confront these battles.
