TRUSTING IN THE UNFAILING PROMISES OF GOD Part 2 (Romans 4:18:22)

The reason is that Abraham understood what God’s promise meant. He knew that when God makes a promise, it is as good as done. This understanding is what many of us lack. Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac because he knew that even the death of Isaac could not hinder God’s promise.

“By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son, of whom it was said, ‘Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.’ He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back.” (Hebrews 11:17–19, ESV)
