TOPIC: THE REDEEMING FAITH PART 1(Ruth 1:1-5

    The book of Ruth opens with these words: “In the days when the judges ruled…” (Ruth 1:1). This places the story within one of the darkest and most chaotic periods in Israel’s history, the time of the Judges. Scripture tells us that during this era, “everyone did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6). It was a time marked by moral collapse, spiritual compromise, and repeated cycles of disobedience and deliverance. AS time when there was no king in Israel (Judges 21:25).
