TOPIC: THE EKKLESIA PART 3 Ephesians 4:4-7

While the Church as a body has a collective mission, it is the faithful service of each individual member that makes this mission possible. Paul reminds us in Romans 12:3–8 that every believer has been given unique gifts by God—whether teaching, serving, encouraging, giving, leading, or showing mercy—and each is essential for the health and growth of the body.

The Church cannot fulfill her duties of worship, evangelism, discipleship, and caring for the world unless individual members actively embrace their God-given responsibilities. The local and universal Church is a living body (1 Corinthians 12:12–27), not a passive audience. Anyone who refuses to engage in promoting these duties through their gifts and service shows they have not truly understood their place in the Ekklesia.

In the Kingdom of God, there is no place for spectators—only participants who labor together to reveal God’s will on the earth.
