TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF JOSEPH PART 13 (Genesis 50:1-26)

The story of Joseph and his brothers is a powerful illustration of forgiveness — one that ultimately points us to the sacrificial love of Christ. Just as Joseph forgave those who betrayed him and used his position to bless and restore them, Jesus forgave us, even while we were still sinners, and gave His life so we could be reconciled to God.

Joseph’s mercy foreshadows the cross, where Christ bore our guilt and shame, not to condemn us, but to offer grace, healing, and a restored relationship with the Father.

“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34, ESV)
