THE NEW NHUMANITY IN CHRIST Part 1 (2 Corinthians 5:16-21)

Since the fall of Adam, humanity has been alive in the flesh but dead in the spirit. Though physically alive, mankind became spiritually separated from God and subject to the desires and impulses of the fallen nature. This is what Paul refers to as the Adamic nature transmitted to all humanity—the inward corruption of the human heart (Genesis 6:5). Without spiritual life, humanity cannot have true fellowship with God or become what God created man to be.

“Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.” (Romans 5:12)
