PUTTING GOD FIRST (1 Kings 17:8-16, Proverbs 3:5-8)

We live in a fast-paced world where everything is expected to be done as quickly as possible. At times, it feels as though the twenty-four hours in a day are not enough to accomplish all that needs to be done. We are burdened with so many activities and responsibilities that we often act without taking time to think. Each day presents us with constant demands, and in the rush of trying to meet them, we frequently forget the most important thing—God (Luke 10:40–42; Psalm 127:1).
