LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD (Matthew 10:37-39)

“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30)

This verse calls us to something far deeper than casual devotion. It calls us to a love that involves all that we are. The word “all” means that nothing is held back—our affections, our spirit, our thoughts, our intelligence, and our will must all be devoted to God. Loving Christ is not meant to be partial, occasional, or convenient; it is meant to be the very center of our lives.

But what does it truly mean to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength? How do we examine our own hearts and measure our love for Him? And how do we cultivate a love that remains steadfast whether we are in comfort or in suffering, in abundance or in lack?
