LIVING THE BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW Part 6 (1 Corinthians 2:6-15)

The willingness to obey God’s truth, as revealed in His Word, is key to discerning the mind of the Spirit. The Word of God opens only to those who are open to it. This openness cannot be faked—there will always be a track record of whether a person is obedient to God’s Word. The Spirit knows those who are obedient, and to such people He reveals Himself more deeply.

We see this in the example of the Bereans in Acts 17:10–12:
“The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue. Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. Many of them therefore believed, with not a few Greek women of high standing as well as men.”
