LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF JOSEPH Part 4 Genesis 39:7-23

    TOPIC: THE EKKLESIA PART 3
Obedience to God doesn’t always produce immediate rewards; in fact, it can lead to difficult consequences. This is one reason many choose compromise over conviction. But Joseph’s story reminds us that faithfulness to God is never in vain.

Joseph choice of obedience and righteousness by fleeing from Potiphar’s wife and even leaving his garment behind to escape led to a false accusation and imprisonment (Genesis 39:11–20). His story is a powerful reminder that obedience may cost you comfort, reputation, or freedom—but it is worth it.

We often equate success with titles, possessions, or recognition. But God measures success by faithfulness and His presence. Joseph didn’t chase influence—he pursued integrity. He didn’t seek promotion—he served with excellence wherever he was placed. And in doing so, God lifted him up.

It’s easy to feel forgotten or frustrated when life doesn’t go as planned. But if we take time to reflect, we may recognize the hand of God quietly at work—even in our lowest moments
