BELIEVERS UNION WITH CHRIST: STUDY THROUGH THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS PART 8 (Ephesians 2:1-10)

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).

In this single verse, the Holy Spirit encapsulates the central message of Ephesians. Believers are recreated in Christ Jesus through the full work of redemption, and this new life is for the express purpose of doing good works. The grace that brought us into union with Christ is not only for our salvation but also for our transformation into a life that actively reflects God’s purposes. The ultimate goal of Christ’s death was not only to provide forgiveness of sins but also to enable us to live out the good works that God prepared beforehand for us to walk in.
