BELIEVERS UNION WITH CHRIST: STUDY THROUGH THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS PART 5 (Ephesians 1:3-14)

To the Praise of His Glory”

Glory is one of the most difficult attributes of God to define. Yet, from my limited understanding, I would describe it as what makes God who He is—His intrinsic worth, majesty, and excellence. God’s glory is what He delights in, the motivation behind everything He does, and the reason for all His works. It is the visible expression of His wisdom, power, holiness, and goodness. In this sense, God’s glory is His honor and the display of His divine perfection.

For us, the proper response to God’s glory is acknowledgment and worship. This is the central duty of humanity. God insists that man must live and exist for His glory because it is the very purpose for which we were created.
