AGAPE LOVE PART 3
Love remains the true and ultimate test of our faith. Where faith is, love abounds. These two are inseparable, and to deny love its expression is to deny faith in God. Genuine faith cannot exist apart from love, for love is the defining characteristic of a true believer. (Colossians 1:4, 1 Timothy 1:14, Revelation 2:19, Ephesians 1:15, Philemon 5).
To truly walk in love, we must recognize it for what it truly is: the evidence that we have been saved and that our faith is hidden in Christ (Colossians 3:3). Love is not merely an abstract concept or an emotion—it must be actively expressed. As James reminds us, “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead” (James 2:17). In the same way, love that is not demonstrated in action is love that does not exist. Jesus Himself emphasized this in John 13:35, saying, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
If we claim to have faith but fail to love, our faith is incomplete. True faith manifests in love, love that is sacrificial, patient, kind, and selfless (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).
