Paul’s letter to the Ephesians stands out uniquely among all his epistles. It is often regarded as the fullest expression of Paul’s theology—a sweeping revelation of God’s eternal purpose in Christ Jesus. Unlike some of his other letters that address specific issues or disputes within the churches, Ephesians presents a grand and timeless vision of the Church, revealing what God has accomplished in Christ and what that means for every believer.
The book tells the story of the new humanity created in Christ—a people reconciled to God and to one another through the cross (Ephesians 2:14–16). It is a book about our relationship with Christ and how that relationship transforms every aspect of life.
The reason I have titled this study through Ephesians “Believers’ Union with Christ” is because this central truth runs through the entire book. Paul uses the phrase “in Christ” or “in Him” repeatedly (over 30 times) to emphasize our spiritual union with the Lord—sharing in His blessings (1:3), His resurrection power (2:6), His purpose (3:10–11), and ultimately His victory (6:10–13).#BibleStudy #Bible #Christianity #Faith #WordOfGod #OnlineBibleStudy #LiveSteam #Prayer #OnlineMinistry #Discipleship #HolySpiritBaptism #Broadcast
